Argent Materials is a concrete and asphalt recycler in Oakland, CA that provides sustainable building materials to the Bay Area. We are dedicated to equity, community service, and reducing our environmental impact—principles that guide every decision we make.
By recycling building materials we reduce waste, lower emissions, and help make construction – a leading contributor to global climate change - more sustainable. The recycled materials that are produced are foundational for building and maintaining the infrastructure we rely on daily, including roads, bridges, and buildings.

Our
COMMUNITY
Argent Materials is proud to call East Oakland home. For over a decade, we have been dedicated to supporting this community equitably and to being a good neighbor. Illegal dumping is a serious challenge in Oakland, and we are actively working to address it. Every day, our team cleans 5 miles of East Oakland streets, contributing to a cleaner, safer environment. To date, we’ve removed over 5,000,000 pounds of illegally dumped trash. Additionally, we welcome returning Family Members to our team through the partnerships we have with non-profits like LuLu’s House, La Familia, Cypress Mandela, OPIC, Men of Valor and Oakland Beautification Council.

ENVIRONMENT
Argent drives innovation in the Bay Area’s recycling ecosystem, focusing on reducing landfill waste and conserving resources through responsible recycling of concrete and asphalt. Our fully paved operating yards, recycled water systems and innovative truck offloading and loading systems, have further lowered any impacts a business like ours could have on our neighborhood. Where we do our work matters; Argents yards in East Oakland have removed an estimated 12 million truck miles annually by operating close to where the work is done. By turning demolition waste into reusable materials, we preserve natural landscapes and support a circular economy where nothing goes to waste. These efforts not only minimize environmental impact but also create a model for sustainable construction practices, ensuring a greener future for generations to come.

OUR STORY
Sept 2013
Argent Materials was founded in 2013 to provide a resource to contractors for disposal of concrete and asphalt.
Nov 2014
Processed the debris from the Bay Bridge demolition with Silverado Contractors.
Apr 2024
Implemented the first ever clean interface system - by separating customer traffic from equipment traffic, we were able to reduce air particulates by over 90%.
